Hiring Process
Our standard hiring process for all roles:
- Application review: We review all applications and respond within 7 business days. Shortlisted candidates receive a call/email within this period.
- Technical assessment: A 2-hour take-home assignment relevant to the role. We compensate candidates for assessment time if it exceeds 4 hours.
- Technical interview: 60-minute video call with the team lead covering code review and problem-solving.
- Culture fit interview: 30-minute call with a founder or senior team member.
- Offer: Decision communicated within 5 business days of the final interview.
Compensation Transparency
We believe in salary transparency. All job postings include salary ranges. We do not ask candidates about previous salary. Compensation is based on role requirements, skills, and market rates. We conduct annual salary reviews to ensure pay remains competitive and equitable within the team.
Background Verification
All final candidates undergo a background verification covering: employment history, educational credentials, and professional references. We comply with the Information Technology Act, 2000, and all applicable Indian employment laws in our hiring practices.
Anti-Nepotism
We do not give preferential treatment to relatives or personal connections of existing employees. If an employee refers a candidate, the candidate goes through the same standard process as any other applicant. Employee referrals are valued for the network effect but do not create advantages in the assessment process.
Recruitment Agencies
Vedhin Technology does not accept unsolicited CVs from recruitment agencies. We work with select recruitment partners under formal agreements. Unsolicited submissions will not create any obligation for Vedhin to pay any fees. Authorised recruitment partners are listed in our internal vendor register.
Probation Period
All new hires have a 3-month probation period. During this period: regular check-ins at 30, 60, and 90 days; clear performance expectations set at the start; confirmation of employment or termination communicated at the end of the 90-day period with adequate notice.
